Mr.Kenji Nagai was a japanese photojournalist. He grew up in Imabari,Ehime, and was graduated from Imabari Nishi High School.Mr Nagai attended Tokyo Keizai University, and then went to study abroad to United States during one year.Soon after his return to Japan,he started his job as a freelance journalist.
Mr.Nagai worked for Tokyo`s APF News.He usually would go to countries that were in war, such as Afghanistan,Cambodja,Palestinian Territories and Iraq.He once said:"It is my job to be where no one else wants to be,it is my job to do what otheres don`t want to do."
Mr.Nagai died tragicaly,in Rangoon,Burma. He was shot dead by Burmese Troops during a violent manifestation followed by clashes between the Troops and the civils.
Anyway, his death is still not explained. And it is truly sad that a so brave man like him have left us.
While he was fatally injured lying on the floor,Mr.Nagai kept on taking photos doing bravely his job.
Mr.Nagai, was left to die alone in a Burmese street, while people were runing away...
Mr.Nagai was such a special man.Very kind and very sensible to issues like Human Rights. But he was brave,as well...
Mr.Nagai was a hero.
Mr.Nagai...you will be dearly remembered forever, and very sadly missed!
WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!

BRAVERY&BEAUTY

Bravery and beauty...
It is not everyday we know
People with these attributes...
Kenji...You had these,and much more!

Fearless soul,powerful carisma;
Brave as a tiger,but
With a Cherry Blossom`s beauty
And elegance.

You were unique
For your sense of justice
was right...
And you were unique for
The love and dedication
That you showed
For your job...

You were a hero,
And with the beauty of
The moonlight in your
So expressive eyes,
And with the delicate scent
And elegace of
A Cherry Blossom,
On a Spring evening,
You will live forever in my heart!

REST IN PEACE,KENJI!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I felt I had to pay tribute to your bravery in trying to get the story out of Burma. Without people brave enough to do this work so much more cruelty and injustice would go on. Any coward fears thier actions being recorded and people like you filming injustice and undemocratic oppression could save lives without even knowing it . God Bless you.
